| Jason, This is a longer message, but I wanted to share an update on what we're seeing from Trump and what Democrats are doing about it. (And no, I will not be making a fundraising request at the end). Here's what's been going on: Last week, Trump's erratic, nonsensical tariffs went into effect. This guy ran on the promise that he was going to help Americans afford their lives, but from day one, he's done the complete opposite. In fact, his actions are going to make people's lives much more expensive, destroy retirement accounts, and threaten jobs. Confidence and certainty are two of the biggest things that fuel our economy. Under Trump, there's little confidence and even less certainty. Now, we're seeing buyer's remorse. We're seeing people who voted for Trump that feel like he betrayed them. And that's because he did. Donald Trump and the Republicans are leaving Americans behind — and it sure doesn't seem like they even care. This is an opportunity for us as Democrats to get off the mat, get back in the fight, and show families what we stand for. One of the reasons we've lost so much ground over the years is because people don't feel like the Democratic Party is fighting for them. This is our opportunity to change that — when it's clearer than ever that Trump and Elon Musk don't give a damn about anybody other than the billionaires who can weather his economic meltdown.
