And the truth is: every dollar we have raised so far has already been allocated to accomplish that goal. So has the money we have yet to raise. That means every time we come up short of a goal, we have to make some tough choices: do we have to cut spending, and if so what states and races can we not help that we wanted to? Will that mean control of the House or Senate? A state legislative race in New Jersey? We have monthly goals, daily goals, and goals we need to reach before Election Day.
