Jason, The tide is turning. Democrats just won critical elections nationwide — showing Donald Trump and the entire Republican Party that we are not done fighting. Mikie Sherill won her race to be elected the 57th governor of New Jersey, and will be the first Democratic woman to hold the office. As governor, Sherill is determined to protect the working class and support the programs that everyday New Jerseyans rely on, including Social Security, public education, and Medicare and Medicaid. She vows to fight back against the Trump administration's destructive policies and ensure that New Jersey is a safe and affordable place for all. And that wasn't the only big win. Democrats swept races across the country, from New York City to Virginia and Pennsylvania to California to Georgia to Maine. Across the map, we put up strong candidates, ran strategic campaigns, and drove high Democratic turnout with a relentless focus on what matters most to people — affordability and kitchen table issues. With these victories, we will enter 2026 with strong momentum, and we're just getting started.
