Students across the country are going back to school to start another academic year of learning and growing. 🎒✏️
We believe that every student should start the year off with their head held high which is why we organize a yearly backpack drive to distribute backpacks and supplies to students in New York City.
But once school starts, we know many students might struggle to complete homework or access tutoring services.
We believe that money shouldn’t dictate access to education — all students deserve the resources to succeed.
You may remember that our campaign launched a virtual tutoring program in 2020 called Homework Helpers to assist families with the demands of online learning during the pandemic. We were able to provide families across New York City with over 8,000 hours of virtual homework assistance.
In the Summer of 2023, we decided to transition the program to the educational non-profit Learn To Be, which has been providing free virtual tutoring to students across the country since 2008.
