Who this election is actually about

Don’t get pulled into the noise. Lock in. Focus on one thing: getting every Democrat in Michigan to the polls on Tuesday.

Abdul El-Sayed

Jason, there's a lot of noise out there right now. We can’t be distracted.

Some people would love for the last days of this race to be about politicians. Who said what. Who's mad at whom. Screenshots and hot takes.

I will not be distracted. Every minute spent talking about politicians is a minute taken from the people this election is really about: working Michiganders.

— This election is about the dad I met who told me his kid is really good at baseball but can't play next year because he just can't afford it.

— This election is about everyone who's been told to wait for relief to “trickle down” while groceries, rent, and healthcare slip further out of reach.

— And it's about people far beyond our state. Because Michigan may decide control of the United States Senate. A Democratic Senate is how we put a check on Donald Trump's power. Mike Rogers, Trump's handpicked candidate, wants to be one more vote for the same billionaire agenda that's been fleecing Michigan.

Please don’t get distracted by the political drama. I promise you I won’t.

Election Day is Tuesday. Several polls show us statistically tied with Mike Rogers. In 2024, the Senate race here came down to under 20,000 votes.

I’m told there's still time to put our final get-out-the-vote ads in front of Michigan voters, but only if we have the cash to run them right now.

Please split a donation of $20 or any amount right now to fund the DNC and our last get-out-the-vote ads before polls close tomorrow.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your split contribution between Abdul El-Sayed and the Democratic National Committee instantly:

Let them have the drama. Let us earn the votes.

Abdul

Jason, we’re building the largest midterm operation in DNC history to take back control of Congress this November, but we need your help right now.

Your donation today will help fund our work to register new Democrats in battleground states, organize everywhere, and win everywhere.
