Jason,
Last weekend, I emailed you with a clear message that I wasn't worried about the Republican National Convention.
Frankly, I was right. Over the course of four days, they failed to offer a path forward for our country. They didn't even have a policy platform.
Their only agenda is walking in lockstep behind Donald Trump. That's not a vision for our country. It's blindness.
But, if there's one thing we know about Trump and Republicans, it's that even if he is completely inept at leading our country, they can still rake in money. And I'm sure he got a big fundraising boost this week during his convention.
Now Jason, we have to keep pace with their fundraising, because every dollar that each of our campaigns raise is another undecided voter who we are able to reach with our message. And Monday marks our first public filing deadline as a full ticket.
When fundraising numbers are made public next month, it will be clear who is in stronger standing coming out of their convention: Joe and me or Donald Trump and Mike Pence. So we cannot afford to fall short when our August end-of-month deadline comes on Monday.
So, I have an important question to ask you. If you're as determined as I am to reach and mobilize every voter that we possibly can, will you chip in $15 to go towards our critical first end-of-month goal as a ticket? If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | | There's a lot of unfinished business to be taken care of in the next 67 days to win this election, and your contributions today are going to make sure we have the resources to get it done.
Thanks for being on the team -- Joe and I are counting on you!
Kamala Harris ---Forwarded Message--- From: Kamala Harris Date: Wed, Aug 23, 2020 Subject line: I'm not worried about the Republican convention, Jason To: shepp1111.milanonline@blogger.com Jason, I'm not worried about the Republican convention this week. But I am worried about the kind of money they are going to raise.
We already know these folks' M.O. They're going to tell lie after lie and try to scare the American people into voting for four more years of their hateful and divisive agenda.
It couldn't be more different from the convention we watched this week, where we laid out our plan for a future that includes everyone, not just the people on our side of the aisle.
Jason, I'll let you decide whether or not to tune in, but before you go today, I have a favor to ask you.
Donald Trump and the Republicans are going to raise a whole lot of money off of their fear mongering this upcoming week, so we're relaunching our Beat Trump Fund to make sure our message of hope and unity reaches voters across the country.
Our goal is 500,000 online donations before Trump takes the stage on Thursday night. It's ambitious, but we can reach it if everyone does their part.
Jason, if you can spare $15 today, will you pitch in to hit this goal and help us share our vision of a better America with more voters? If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | | Thanks for believing in our vision. I'm grateful to stand with you in this fight for the America we know is possible.
For The People,
Kamala Harris |
