Jason, I don't come from a wealthy or well-connected family. But I do come from a proud union family. My mom was a Milwaukee school teacher for 30 years, and my dad worked the 3rd shift at the General Motors plant. Those jobs were my family's ticket to the middle class.
My parents spent their days organizing for better wages and advancing workers' rights. Their example showed me the importance of coming together around shared values and fighting for opportunity for everyone -- a lesson I've taken to heart as a community organizer, state legislator, and as lieutenant governor of Wisconsin.
But right now, Wisconsin has a Republican senator who puts himself first as he leaves working families in the dust. I know we can defeat Ron Johnson -- but I'll need the support of this grassroots team to do it.
It looks like you haven't donated this year to help our party prepare for November's midterms. Can I count on you to split a $10 donation between my campaign and the DNC to flip seats like this, defeat Republicans like Ron Johnson, and expand our Democratic Senate majority?
