As Communications Director of the DNC, part of my job is to effectively deliver Democrats' message and hold Republicans accountable. And if there's one thing I've learned from this year's midterm elections, it's this, Jason: Many Republicans lost in the midterms because of their extreme MAGA agenda.
We are already laying the groundwork to continue to hold them accountable for that agenda over the next two years. To do so, we're launching a new embed program to get experienced communications staff on the ground in key states to drive local press coverage and hold Republicans up and down the ticket accountable ahead of what will be their messy and crowded 2024 GOP primaries.
This is the earliest the DNC has put communications staff on the ground in a presidential election cycle, and we can only keep it up because of grassroots investments from folks like you. If you can, chip in $7 or any amount that is meaningful to you to continue powering our work into 2023 and beyond:
This programming builds on the model of early investments in communications staff, regular messaging briefings, and toolkits for state parties to lift up voices and define Democratic accomplishments that we used to drive local press in 2020 and, more recently, in this year's midterms.
From putting up digital ads and billboards and advertising on radio, print, and TV to hosting events with state and local leaders and even launching a bus tour to spread our message far and wide, the common denominator behind our success has been the early investment of this grassroots team.
As we look ahead to 2023 and beyond, we have to do two things: First, we must continue to get Democrats' message to as many voters as possible, and second, we must keep holding the GOP accountable for their extreme MAGA agenda and trying to take away our most fundamental rights. This work requires the backing of grassroots supporters like you.
So, will you take a minute and pitch in $7 to the DNC today? You'll help get our message out across the nation and hold Republicans at all levels accountable as we head into the new year.
Thank you,
KO
