My having been a waitress makes me 1000x more qualified to govern on behalf of working people than whatever lifelong politician nonsense John Kennedy has swung from his whole career.
Why should working people vote for him if this is what he thinks of them?
I am the youngest woman in U.S. history to be elected to Congress. I was a waitress. I come from a low income background, and am one of just a few working-class people to be elected to Congress.
That makes a lot of classist, ageist, misogynistic, and racist people mad.
But together, we're building a movement that is fighting for transformative change for working families across this country – from Medicare for All to getting big money out of politics.
