Last night, as part of the official launch of Alexandria's 2026 re-election campaign, we hosted a Petition Kick-off Party in The Bronx.
We trained and set up local organizers to go out into their community, talk with their neighbors and collect signatures to secure our place on the ballot.
This moment is a skill building moment for our movement. Eight years ago we learned the process of signature collection to get on the ballot.
Eight years later, we are still teaching and practicing this process with our volunteers because it's essential that this knowledge lives in the community so no one can ever gatekeep access to the ballot again.
Our goal is simple: we want it so that anyone who is ever interested in running, or helping their neighbor run, can walk through these doors and learn the process for free.
Thank you for making this all possible and keeping this movement growing strong. Our campaign is truly grassroots — our average donation this month is just $16.
A better world is possible. And we're here to demand it.
