You might not see much news coming out of Washington, D.C. over the next few weeks, but that doesn’t mean Alexandria is slowing down. Far from it.
Right now, Congress is in its annual August recess. The House isn’t in session, and representatives get to spend extended time in their districts with the people who sent them to Washington in the first place.
That means Alexandria is back in The Bronx and Queens, meeting with constituents and hearing directly from working-class New Yorkers about their needs.
She’ll take that experience back to Washington to fight even harder for us.
Whether she’s in D.C. or in our neighborhoods, Alexandria answers to one group: us. She’s focused on moving our progressive values forward.
She’s fighting for the working people of NY-14, championing bold legislation like Medicare for All, and taking our movement on the road to build working-class power nationwide.
