Democrats have major momentum right now, but Jason, we cannot afford to rest on our laurels -- and that includes the DNC's fundraising deadline tomorrow. We must stay on track to meet the DNC's goal to expand our majorities, or we'll be vulnerable to the GOP's stalling and bad-faith attacks as we fight to keep bringing much-needed relief to the American people.
Right now, Republicans are completely and totally focused on recapturing power in governors' seats, the U.S. House, and the U.S. Senate. And we simply can't let them gain an inch if we hope to build our country back better than before.
To make sure we can fend off Republican attacks -- and expand the Democratic map -- we need to start fortifying our party infrastructure now, early in the election cycle. The only way to ensure Democrats can compete and win everywhere is if grassroots Democrats like you help meet our crucial end-of-quarter goal.
So, will you make a $7 donation to the DNC ahead of our deadline tomorrow? To continue our work of supporting Democrats running for office nationwide, we need to hit our end-of-quarter fundraising goal.
I am thrilled to serve as a DNC vice chair alongside Chair Jaime Harrison, and I'm already encouraged by our plan to amplify the successes of the Biden-Harris administration and to build a winning Democratic coalition. That's why I'm reaching out to you today, with only a day left before the DNC's first end-of-quarter deadline of the year, because we need you with us now more than ever.
To win in 2021, 2022, and years to come, we must ensure that the proper infrastructure, resources, and programs are in place for our candidates when they need them most -- and that's not something we can pull off overnight. This is also my first end-of-quarter deadline as DNC vice chair, and it's deeply important to me that we reach our fundraising goal, so I have to ask:
Will you donate $7 to the DNC today -- ahead of this important deadline? Your early investment will support the party infrastructure needed to see Democratic victories in the years ahead.
Let's get to work,
Gretchen
Gretchen Whitmer
Governor of Michigan
DNC Vice Chair
P.S. As the proud governor of Michigan, I am familiar with rising to a challenge. And I know that great challenges require planning and preparation. The same is true of expanding our Democratic map in the coming years. Your support today could not be more critical to the success of our party down the line: So, please, Jason, make a $7 donation before tomorrow's deadline so we can continue to build upon our progress.
