Because of the American Rescue Plan: - 85% of American households will receive a direct economic impact payment -- and unemployment benefits will be extended through the end of the summer.
- Health care premiums will drop for middle-class families, and unemployed folks enrolled in COBRA will have their premiums covered.
- Child care providers will get help to cover their costs, and families will get increased tax credits to pay for care, helping more parents get back to work -- this represents the most significant investment in American child care since WWII.
- SNAP benefits will continue at an increased rate through September, and nutrition assistance programs for mothers and young children will be expanded and modernized.
- Small business loans will be expanded to help small business owners reopen their doors.
