I know firsthand that not all families look the same. Born to a single mom and raised by my grandparents, I am forever grateful for the love from every member of my family that has made me the man I am today.
I'm also fortunate enough to be married to a modern-day Renaissance woman. My wife is not just an incredible mother to our two sons -- she's a scholar, artist, author, and one heck of a cake decorator.
Through everything -- the craze of a Senate campaign, a pandemic, and now my work at the DNC, my wife has never taken her foot off the gas. I am so honored to stand by her side and take on every crazy thing that life throws at us.
My family is my guiding light. And they're part of the reason that we're working so hard each and every day here at the DNC to fight for families.
As Democrats, it's our job to make sure that no matter what your family looks like, you have a chance at a good life. Whether that means providing access to good child care and health care, making universal pre-kindergarten and higher education more affordable, or simply just ensuring folks have a roof over their heads and dinner on the table -- it all matters. That is what our party's about.
So, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of this fight for families everywhere -- not just this Mother's Day, but every day. It means the world.
Together,
Jaime

P.S. One of the best ways we can fight for families right now is by electing Democrats who will fight for President Biden's American Families Plan in Congress. If you're able, will you make a $7 donation to the DNC today?
