(Me getting a fresh cut) Jason, Sen. Jon Tester here -- and in just a moment, I'm going to ask if you can split a donation between my reelection campaign and the DNC. But first, I wanted to take a moment to tell you a bit about me, and why I'm in this fight. I'm not the kind of guy you'd expect to see in Congress. I still get $12 flat-top haircuts. And, at home on the farm, I butcher my own meat. I balance my work as Montana's senior Senator with my farm responsibilities -- it's not easy, but it grounds me -- because the truth is, Jason, I'm a dirt farmer with seven fingers trying to do what's right for the people of Montana and this country. I'm humbled by this team and the support our campaign has received. Thanks to you, TV ads are up and running across Montana to share my story and what I'm fighting for. But unfortunately, we're not the only ones picking up the pace. I know national Republicans will spend just about anything to try and beat me. In fact, they're already attacking me to try and turn me into someone I'm not because they know they can't beat who I am. We can and will fight back. But we're not taking anything for granted. So I'm asking: Can you split a $10 contribution between my reelection campaign and the DNC to help us build the strongest possible grassroots team? Thanks for chipping in. I'm grateful you're in this fight with me. Jon Jon Tester U.S. Senator, Montana |
