Hi Jason, it's Elizabeth Warren. Yes, 2024 is about keeping Trump out of the White House. That is a top priority. But it's also about making sure Democrats can defeat Republicans everywhere. It's about the policies we're fighting for, and the people who those policies benefit. If MAGA Republicans take back more power, they'll further restrict the right to an abortion nationwide, the freedom to vote, and protections for LGBTQ+ communities. They'll threaten Social Security and Medicare, reward the rich and powerful, and embolden an extremist base across the country. So I'm fighting to stop the GOP's dangerous agenda, protect our freedoms, and pass policies that put our government on the side of working families. That means passing national abortion protections. That means strengthening our democracy and protecting voting rights. That means defending LGBTQ+ rights. But this critical election is not only about fighting back against MAGA extremism. We must also address the root causes of the deep problems in our economy, our government, and our democracy. The problems that existed way before Donald Trump rode down that elevator in 2015. That's what Democrats are fighting for: Policies like affordable housing, universal child care, and taxing the rich. But we're competing against national Republicans who are desperate to take back power and pass Trump's agenda -- and we're up against their rich buddies and special interest donors who want to maintain their power over our democracy and economy. That's why it's incredibly important that we raise a competitive amount of grassroots contributions right now so we can compete against the MAGA machine and elect Democrats everywhere. Can you split a donation between my reelection campaign and the DNC so we have the resources to defeat the GOP? Here's the way I see it: when the American people see their elected officials making positive changes that touch their lives, they're more likely to keep those leaders in office. So when we have President Biden's record as president compared to Trump's record as president, here's what we see: - Donald Trump has done two big things: Appointing extreme Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade, and passed a giant tax break that benefited millionaires, billionaires, and giant corporations.
- On the other hand, what does President Biden's record show? Well, he's got $35 insulin and Medicare drug price negotiations for the first time, canceling all that student loan debt, passing the biggest climate package in the history of the world (paid for by my 15 percent tax on billionaire corporations that this movement fought hard for), getting the IRS the resources it needs to create a free filing system and target wealthy tax cheats, and a whole lot more.
We know that if the GOP gains any more power in November, they'll work to actively reverse all the progress we've made together. So I'm going to keep fighting with all I've got to keep Joe Biden in the White House -- and to elect Democrats across the country so we can keep making big, structural change. So I have to ask you personally, Jason: Will you split $10 between my campaign and the DNC? We've got five months of fighting ahead of us, and every donation -- no matter the amount -- makes a powerful difference in this work. Thanks for being a part of this, Elizabeth Elizabeth Warren U.S. Senator, Massachusetts Paid for by the Democratic National Committee and authorized by Sen. Elizabeth Warren's campaign. (MA-Sen) |
