When Alexandria first introduced the Green New Deal — a resolution to address the worsening climate crisis by creating millions of good, union jobs to end our dependence on fossil fuels — naysayers immediately called it ‘unrealistic.’
But Sunrise Movement knows that a brighter future for all is worth fighting for.
They are laser-focused on building a youth movement to crack the grip of fossil fuels on our politics and prove that climate policy can actually improve the lives of everyday people across the country.
The cynics want us to think that the climate crisis is insurmountable.
But Sunrise knows: we can win a better future and a liveable planet because of the commitment of every single person demanding change.
