For me as a progressive, that means making sure that we’re actually fighting for everyday people.

I believe in guaranteed, single-payer healthcare. We need to drive toward an America where every single person in this country can see a doctor without fear of having to choose between their insulin and their rent.
I believe in an America where we are actively transitioning out of dependency on Russian and Middle Eastern oil, and the volatility of that, so that our energy prices can be lower.
We need to be talking about universal gun safety and common-sense measures — background checks, making sure that the people most likely to kill with assault weapons don’t get those weapons, and holding people responsible who put those weapons in their hands.
We’ve got a lot of work to do.
For me as a progressive, having a very clear vision for that means making sure we don’t get into foreign wars that are just endless entanglements, that we’re actually fighting for everyday people, and — for the love of God — getting big money out of politics.
In solidarity,
Alexandria
