Jason, I've been in public service my entire life -- so I know that the upcoming midterm elections could present a real challenge to our shared progress.
There is just one Senate seat and five House seats that stand between us keeping -- or losing -- our Democratic majorities. These margins are slim, but our victories last cycle prove that if we get to work right now, we can succeed.
The DNC is the sole party committee tasked with electing Democrats at every level of government in every ZIP code. They're running critical organizing, data, tech, and voter protection programs that are key to protecting our majorities nationwide -- but they're only as strong as the support of this grassroots team.
So, I have to ask, Jason: Will you make a donation of $1, $5, or $7 to the DNC to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot in next year's midterms?
As House Majority Leader, I know what's possible when Democrats are leading the charge. Already this year, we've taken bold action to pass the American Rescue Plan, negotiate a bipartisan infrastructure package, and support the Biden-Harris agenda.
Democrats are delivering on our promises to the American people to restore our economy and build back better. We're laying the groundwork for equity, prosperity, and opportunity in the years and decades ahead -- but all that we've accomplished is at risk if Republicans win back control in 2022.
If you can, please make a $7 contribution to the DNC today. Together, we are going to build on the progress we've made and elect Democrats who are committed to doing the same.
With gratitude,
Steny
Steny Hoyer
