Jason -- after spending much of my life in politics, I know a thing or two about the importance of building a strong grassroots coalition. Now, in the wake of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, droves of people are looking to Democratic leaders to take action.
From the victory for abortion rights in Kansas to the special election victory in a hotly contested district in New York, it's clear that folks are fed up with the Republican Party's extreme and unpopular agenda.
It's the DNC's job to make sure voters know about the progress President Biden and Democrats have made and communicate how Republicans will drag our country backward if they regain even an inch of power.
Thanks to the hard work and determination of this grassroots team, Democrats held the House, flipped the Senate, and took back the White House last cycle. But we can't rest on our laurels, Jason.
That's why the DNC has been making unprecedented investments in organizing, tech, and data improvements, all while building on the programs that helped propel Democrats to victory, including:
-
Building a grassroots donor team that helps make it possible for the DNC to commit to investing $23 million in state parties and grassroots infrastructure, which strengthens our party's 57-state-and-territories strategy. This investment is even more critical today as the fight for reproductive freedom escalates in state legislatures.
-
Creating a first-of-its-kind Red State Fund to build targeted programs in traditionally Republican states. No state is off-limits this year. We know that with our message and accomplishments, Democrats can compete and win anywhere.
-
Expanding our voter protection work with a historic $25 million investment in voter education, protection, registration, and technology. The DNC's commitment to protecting the right to vote is ongoing, and your support is critical in supporting this work.
-
Most recently, launching a seven-figure TV and media ad buy to get the message out that President Biden and Democrats are lowering costs for working families on health care, prescription drugs, and more.
Targeted investments like these are what helped Democrats take back the House in 2018. They helped us win the White House in 2020, and flip the Senate shortly thereafter.
Put simply: We have an incredible opportunity to not only protect, but expand and make gains in the House and the Senate, and down ballot too, but only if we act quickly. The work we do together right now could be the difference between holding our majorities or handing the reins back to MAGA Republicans.
We can't leave anything up to chance this November. So please, chip in $7 to the DNC before tonight's end-of-month deadline to help Democrats win again this November.
Thank you so much for your support,
Alyssa
