Jason,

I'm on the ground in Texas right now, and the energy is electric.

Just a few weeks ago, Texas voters chose James Talarico as their Democratic nominee for United States Senate.

James represents a new era of Texas politics, one based on hope and opportunity rather than fear and division. Where families can afford their lives, freedoms are guaranteed, and the American Dream is back in reach.

In stark contrast, the Republican candidates for Senate are continuing to bicker and offer no real vision for the people of the Lone Star State. Now, a new reality is sinking in for Republicans: We have a real shot at flipping Texas blue.

But here's the thing — just because we have a shot at flipping Texas, that doesn't mean it will be easy.

Right now, Republicans have more cash in their war chest than we do. To win here, we're going to have to invest massive amounts of resources into registering voters, knocking doors, and getting Democrats' message out to the people who need to hear it the most.

That means we're going to need all hands on deck. We'll need thousands of people to volunteer their time, and even more to chip in what they can to help us make sure those volunteers have the resources and supplies they'll need on the ground.
