I wanted to pop in and give you a brief update about When We Count, our largest voter registration program in DNC history. Within the last few weeks, we’ve onboarded our first 40 Fellows in Phoenix, Arizona — and we’re only growing. By June, we’re on track to expand our team to 75 Fellows in Arizona alone. We’re training Fellows not just to register voters, but to think creatively and strategically about where conversations can happen. Fellows are organizing online, mobilizing their networks, and going to concerts, cafes, and thrift stores to register young people to vote. They’re putting in the work to register 250,000 Democratic voters in key battleground states like Arizona before November’s midterms. Already this year, we’re seeing Democratic voters show up in a big way — in the last few months, states like Texas and Illinois have seen record-breaking voter turnout at the ballot box. At the DNC, we’re seeing that as proof that when we reach voters, they show up. It’s been so exciting getting to watch When We Count come to life — and we’re just getting started.
