Folks --
Today marks Kamala's and my 100th day in office. I wanted to reach out to you directly to explain the magnitude and the significance of what we've accomplished -- and why your continued support is particularly crucial to our plans moving forward.
I'm in awe of what we've achieved together so far: Over 200 million shots in arms, 160 million checks in pockets, and more new jobs created than any president in history in their first 100 days.
We passed the American Rescue Plan, the most significant legislation for working families in a generation, and expanded tax credits for families with children. We reasserted America's global leadership, setting a historic new target for emissions reduction and ordering an end to 20 years of military involvement in Afghanistan.
We did this together: You, me, and this grassroots team. And we're just getting started.
We've got to make critically needed investments in our nation's infrastructure and families. We need to tackle the threat of climate change while seizing the opportunities of a cleaner, stronger, and more resilient economy.
I believe that the key to passing these priorities, not to mention our continued success as Democrats and as a nation, is a strong Democratic Party.
That means working for and passing policy that helps everyday Americans -- so that when folks head to the ballot box, they know that voting for Democrats means electing leadership that will make their lives better.
And that means I'm counting on you, Jason.
You showed me firsthand the strength that we're capable of when we draw our power and purpose from the grassroots. When my campaign broke records around voting, volunteer involvement, and fundraising, we did it because you and so many others took time out of their day or opened their wallets to own a piece of what we were building.
That's why I've put my full faith into the DNC: Because fighting for progress, building our party, and electing Democrats go hand in hand. And if we can do that using the same people power that carried my campaign to victory? Well, Jason, then I imagine we'll be downright unstoppable.
The DNC is facing a major deadline tomorrow night, and if you could spare a donation before then, even a few dollars, it would go a long way to continuing to build on our progress the right way -- the people-powered way.
Will you donate $7, or whatever you can afford, to the DNC before their deadline tomorrow? We have a lot of work ahead of us to continue building back better, and I promise you we'll be that much stronger because of your support.
Now, I know not everyone wants or has the resources to stay involved in politics after the election. But if you're ready to keep fighting for progress -- and truly, Jason, I hope you are -- then I'm asking you to keep speaking out, lending your time, and donating when you can.
Thanks for all you do,
Joe
Joseph R. Biden Jr.
President of the United States
P.S. I'm proud that we've been able to get our country back on track in my first 100 days in office. But, Jason, our most important days still lie ahead. Please, make a $7 gift to help us celebrate this milestone -- and to keep up the fight for the years ahead.
