Right now, in my home state of Florida, an ugly anti-voter bill is making its way through the state Senate that would make it more difficult to vote by mail and severely restrict the use and availability of ballot drop boxes -- and that's just the start of it, Jason.
This is just one example of an astonishing 360 anti-voter bills introduced at the state level this year. And the best way to stop them is by electing Democrats who will vote them down and having the resources to challenge them in court if they do become law.
The DNC is uniquely positioned to do just that. Not only do they have a robust voter protection department with eyes across the country -- but they're the only party committee tasked with electing Democrats at every level of government in every ZIP code. They're also facing a big monthly fundraising deadline Friday, and with these relentless attacks on voting rights coming from the GOP, they're counting on all of us to come together to help them meet their goal.
Can I count on you to pitch in $7 to the DNC before Friday's deadline so that our party has what it needs to stand up to the GOP, protect voting rights, and win nationwide?
What Republicans are doing is nothing short of horrifying. They know they can't win at the ballot box on merit alone -- so instead, they're pushing legislation that makes it harder for folks to vote, especially in communities of color.
We're witnessing the most regressive and wide-reaching voter suppression campaign in decades nationwide right now, Jason. And we cannot afford to leave these attacks unanswered.
Democrats have a moral imperative to take action -- and by making a donation to the DNC before Friday's deadline, you'll be doing your part to help organize against these bills, protect the right to vote, and so much more.
Please, consider making a $7 contribution to the DNC today. Meeting our party's April end-of-month goal will determine the scope of both their voter protection efforts and campaign support for Democrats all over the country.
Thank you,
Nikki

P.S. It's only April and, already, we've seen over 360 anti-voter bills introduced overwhelmingly by Republicans nationwide this year. The DNC is counting on your support to answer the GOP's attacks, so please, rush a $7 donation to our party today -- before Friday's critical deadline.
