The GOP is treating voting like a numbers game -- a game that they intend to control, manipulate, and win, Jason. We've already seen nearly 390 anti-voter bills introduced at a state level this year -- and these are just a few of the highlights:
- In Georgia, Republicans passed a law that made it illegal to hand someone a bottle of water while they're in line to vote.
- In Florida, Republicans passed a law that further restricted access to ballot drop boxes and vote-by-mail.
- And now in Texas, Republicans are trying to pass a law limiting the hours that folks have to get to the polls.
The GOP knows that when more eligible people vote, they're less likely to win elections. So, in an attempt to hold onto the remaining power they have, they're trying to make voting as difficult as they possibly can.
The DNC is working around the clock to answer these attacks on the right to vote nationwide -- they're scaling up voter protection efforts, embedding voter protection experts in states, running a 24/7 voter protection hotline, and more. But these efforts are expensive, Jason.
Will you donate $7 to the DNC before its Wednesday deadline to support these efforts and elect Democrats nationwide?
