Jason -- I won't lie: This week has been tough. A conservative majority on the Supreme Court could overturn Roe v. Wade, which would deal a devastating blow to our fundamental freedom to make decisions about our health care and families.
People are frustrated, angry, and scared, and I am too. But among all of those emotions, I also feel incredibly heartened by this community.
Over the past week, I've seen this team come together to march, to raise our voices, and to support one another across the country -- in cities and towns big and small -- in light of Republicans' assault on our fundamental rights.
Our fundamental rights are under attack, and as Democrats and as Americans, we need to do everything in our power to continue fighting back.
I'm proud to work for the Democratic National Committee and to be on the front lines of this fight. We're going to fight together, harder than ever before, to continue to build on all of the work we've already put in to protect our Democratic congressional majorities.
This week, we launched a text campaign to encourage people to rally together. We saw President Biden and Vice President Harris come out to strongly defend Roe and show they understand the gravity of this moment. And we've continued our efforts to elect Democrats from the school board to the statehouse to the Senate in support of reproductive rights -- particularly for those who will be most impacted, including people of color, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and marginalized communities everywhere.
I'm so grateful to each and every one of you who volunteered your time and energy in support of this work. I know that we have a long road ahead, but it means the world to me that you are in this fight.
In solidarity,
Gabriela
