Jason -- throughout my presidency, Joe was an extraordinary friend and partner who was by my side for eight years.
Together, we accomplished a lot. We helped save the global economy, made critical investments in clean energy, and provided millions of people with better health care and more protections. I'm so proud of every member of this team who helped elect Democrats to the House and Senate to get it all done.
The fight to build a better America continues. There is still much work to be done to root out racism in our communities. The right to vote is consistently under attack. And by overturning Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues -- attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.
Elections have consequences, and that's why the DNC needs your help. I'm personally asking: Will you donate $7 to the Democratic National Committee before their end-of-quarter deadline tonight?
I cannot overstate how important the strength of the DNC is to our efforts to secure Democratic majorities in Congress. The midterm elections are only months away, and if we want to continue enacting Joe and Kamala's agenda, it's imperative that we not only protect our Democratic majorities, but expand them.
From organizing to voter protection, the DNC is running programs that impact races across the country. Supporting this type of work is critical to moving the nation forward -- and it all starts right here, with folks just like you and tonight's deadline.
Jason, can I count on you to join me in supporting the DNC before tonight's quarterly fundraising deadline? If we all work together, I know we can build a better future for all.
Thank you for doing your part.
Barack
