Jason,
I'm running for reelection to continue fighting for our working families, our planet, and our future in the U.S. Senate.
In just a moment, I'm going to share my story and explain why your support today is so important. But first, will you split a donation between my campaign and the Democratic National Committee to ensure that Democrats like me have the support we need to win races up and down the ballot in 2024?
I spent formative years of my life on my grandparents' rice farm in Fukushima, Japan. When I was eight years old, my mother made the courageous decision to escape her abusive marriage and bring me and my brothers to the United States to pursue a better life. When we arrived, my mother worked low wage jobs with no health benefits.
I worried that if she ever fell ill or even just missed a day of work, we would lose everything. It wasn't until she got a good paying union job that we experienced a level of security.
My mother's perseverance inspired me to fight for dignity and justice for all people. It's what led me to public service, and eventually to the U.S. Senate.
Today, I'm proud to fight for legislation that will lift children and families out of poverty, secure our free and fair elections, and defend our reproductive rights -- and I'm running for reelection to continue those fights.
Democrats have 23 Senate seats to defend in 2024, including mine -- and if we lose our majority, the battles ahead of us will become tougher than ever, making it that much more difficult to codify abortion rights, prevent the worst effects of climate change, and end the entirely preventable gun violence epidemic in our country.
So I hope you'll consider pitching in today to support my reelection campaign and Democrats up and down the ballot, across the country. There are so many critical fights ahead of us, and your support will make all the difference.
Mahalo,
Mazie
