Jason, As Executive Director of the DNC, it's my job to ensure that we have the funding we need to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. But most people don't realize that the DNC is funded by grassroots donors -- that's people like you, chipping in a few dollars in response to messages like this one. So, I'd like to take a moment to answer a question I get a lot: What does my donation to the DNC actually do? Well, here are just a few ways your donation could get put to work: 1️⃣ Prioritizing our campaigns and state parties It's so important that our partners on the ground in states across the country have everything they need to maintain a strong presence. That's why every month, the DNC invests money into every state party, helping ensure they have consistent resources. This money helps pay for staff, tools, and programming -- not just right before a big election, but year-round. For example, in Michigan, we've helped fund local events and campus fellowships to help register young voters. And in Arizona and Nevada, we helped support voter engagement through digital and print ads. This type of on-the-ground work in states all over the country is critical -- and we're proud to play a role in it. 2️⃣ Funding innovative organizing The DNC is constantly innovating our organizing programs. For instance, we've created a red state fund -- a first-of-its-kind fund that puts Republicans on the defensive and aims to build Democrats' power in traditionally red states. This includes several million dollars in direct investments in states that need it most. We know Democrats can compete and win everywhere, but we have to continue building our power, not just around an election, but each and every year. 3️⃣ Expanding our voter protection work Here at the DNC, we've made historic investments in voter education, protection, registration, and the technology that powers it all. We have a voter assistance hotline that's monitored by staff members and volunteers who are prepared to answer voter questions about everything from registration to voting machines and more. We've created toolkits for things like "debunking vote by mail myths" and webinars that focus on topics like youth voting, helping voters with disabilities, or protecting everyone's voting rights in the lead-up to Election Day. The DNC also works with our state party partners to legally defend the right to vote in every election. 4️⃣ Supporting our data and technology infrastructure Strengthening our data and technology is crucial for bolstering Democratic candidates -- but the truth is, a lot of campaigns don't have the resources or time to handle this themselves. That's where we come in. Ensuring our data and technology is as strong as possible helps make Democrats' work even more efficient. And it's only possible with your support. Sustained political investments lead to sustained political power -- and at the end of the day, grassroots donors are the heart of our Party and play a key role in electing Democrats nationwide. So this is where I make my pitch, Jason. Will you make your first donation of 2024 to help fund the DNC's work? Thank you for all that you do, Sam Sam Cornale Executive Director Democratic National Committee Our records show you haven't pitched in to support the DNC yet, which means that today you have the opportunity to do something special -- to make your first gift!
