I wanted to take a moment to wish a Happy Father’s Day to everybody out there who is celebrating and enjoying time with family today. I wouldn’t be who I am today without my family, and they are such a large part of what drives me to do the work that I do. We’re living in a country where it is far too hard for parents to provide their children with the lives and opportunities that they deserve. We have a president who has made it clear that he doesn’t care whether working people can afford to put a roof over their children's heads, or give them school supplies every fall, or even a meal every night. That is why I care so much about this work. I’m fighting every day for a better future for not only my own children, but also for families all across the country who are sick of Trump raising costs higher and higher, ripping healthcare away from people, and making it harder to find a good job. So today, I’m sending well wishes to every family across the country celebrating Father’s Day, and I’m inviting you all to reflect with me on the importance of fighting for a better future today and every day.
