When I last reached out, I said that the consequences of this election will last for generations.
That’s only become more clear since we last spoke, and that’s why I’m personally reaching out to you again, asking you to donate $15 to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris today.
Jason, I’ve seen it all in world politics -- the good, the bad, and the ugly -- and there’s no doubt in my mind that, should President Trump win re-election, things are bound to get even worse for the majority of Americans. I’ll tell you why.
Trump and his administration have yet to mount a serious defense against COVID-19 more than seven months after the pandemic began in America, even though he’s on-the-record acknowledging just how severe the coronavirus is.
Trump has chosen to shun our allies while embracing dictators who oppose our interests. That -- plus the recent revelations from his tax returns -- could make him easily compromised, and it undermines our position on the world stage.
And now, Trump and Mitch McConnell have rushed through a Supreme Court confirmation while Americans are already voting, reshaping the Court for decades to come before we learn the results of this presidential election.
Jason, the future of our American democracy depends on whether we have a group of leaders we can trust, who we know will put the country first and fight for all its citizens, not just a select few.
