Hey Jason,
As one of the DNC's most loyal supporters, you are a critical part of our team, so I wanted to personally share with you the latest updates from the Democratic National Committee's political and organizing shop.
With your commitment, the DNC is already preparing for the 2022 midterms. We're becoming an active community-based organization, dedicated to serving Democrats in all 50 states and territories -- and I hope you'll read a little bit about how we're doing it →
Unprecedented Midterm Investments
We know we must get started early to win critical races next year. That is why the DNC plans to invest an initial $20 million in states across the country well before the 2022 election even begins. This is our earliest and largest midterm investment ever. Here are just a few of the details of what it will support:
- Modernizing the organizing process. We are expanding our digital organizing infrastructure, deploying more than 200,000 active online volunteers dedicated to early voter re-engagement ahead of elections this year and the next. We're also investing millions in running early distributed organizing programs in key states nationwide.
- Building up local talent. We are building on the bench of talent from the last election cycle -- both at the entry-level and up the organizational ladder. There's never been a more important time to develop the next generation of campaign leadership.
Supporting State Parties
We've got to compete in red states too if we hope to expand our majorities and our map next year. That's why we're also investing $23 million in state parties and grassroots infrastructure ahead of 2022. Those investments will support:
- Taking the fight against Republicans directly to them through the Red State Fund. This brand new, $2 million fund will support critical investments in Republican-led states, applying direct pressure on the GOP while they're fighting amongst themselves.
- Running the Campaign Readiness Project to train and develop the next generation of party leaders. Participants will help ensure that candidates and state parties have the tools and volunteer capacity to win no matter what state their race is in.
- Providing the best data and tech to Democrats, no matter what office they're running for through a historic data agreement. This will increase our investment in down-ballot races and anchor the DNC and state parties as the center of the Democratic data world.
Protecting Voting Rights
Thanks to the GOP, the battle in 2022 is not just over who we vote for, but whether we can vote at all. That's why we're launching our biggest voter protection program ever. The I Will Vote initiative plans to:
- Register, protect, and educate voters. From hiring state-based analysts to launching television and digital ads, we're making it easier for folks to learn how, where, and when to vote. And we'll continue to take GOP-sponsored anti-voter laws to court so that every eligible voter has the chance to make their voice heard.
- Invest in tools and technology to protect the vote, which includes funding the largest tech team in the history of the DNC. The team will use their data and tech tools to identify and contact voters affected by voter suppression efforts so we can ensure that all eligible voters have the information they need to cast a ballot.
Many of these plans are critical for our 2022 goals -- not to mention laying the foundation for victory in 2024 -- but none of them are possible without your support. Folks like you donating what you can when you can is the only way our party will have the resources to build on our progress and make strategic investments ahead of high-stakes moments like the midterms.
Will you make a $7 donation to the DNC today so that together, we can continue to make smart and strategic investments that'll catapult our candidates to victory come Election Day?
Thank you,
Alana
