In Georgia and across the country, Republicans are introducing -- and passing -- laws that suppress our sacred right to vote. They claim that these anti-voter laws protect the integrity of our democratic process, but we know better, Jason. This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to regain power and silence voices.
We are at an inflection point in our country's history, and it is up to us to protect the right to vote from the GOP's shameless, unabashed assault.
Earlier this month, Vice President Harris announced the DNC's plan to invest $25 million in I Will Vote. It will be the DNC's largest voter protection initiative in history, and it will help register, protect, and educate voters. Programs like these take a lot of resources, so with the DNC's end-of-month fundraising deadline coming up on Saturday, I have to ask:
Will you donate $7 to the DNC's Voter Protection Fund before Saturday's monthly deadline? Anything that you give today will directly impact our party's efforts to protect the right to vote and elect Democrats nationwide.
What we did in Georgia in terms of voter turnout this year should be celebrated by everyone. But, instead, it was attacked by craven politicians whose only concern is getting reelected. I refuse to stand on the sidelines while Republican lawmakers continue to viciously attack one of our most sacred rights as Americans -- the right to vote.
The DNC's I Will Vote initiative will allow our party to educate voters online and in person, organize folks on the ground against bad anti-voter bills, and take those same bills to court if they become law. But the DNC is counting on the support of this grassroots team to make sure we have the resources to make all of that possible.
Please, if you can, consider giving $7 to support programs like the DNC's Voter Protection Fund before Saturday's deadline and help safeguard the right to vote and elect Democrats across the country.
Thank you,
Raphael
Rev. Raphael Warnock
U.S. Senator, Georgia
