The most fundamental duty of any public servant is to help keep the people they serve safe and healthy. And Republican politicians like Governor Greg Abbott are failing to do that. Instead of showing real leadership in the face of a global pandemic, Governor Abbott and his Republican flunkies have been focused on opposing health safety measures and arresting the Texas Democrats who are trying to block their voter suppression bill. Here's the thing: Governor Abbott is only trying to attack public health and rig voting laws because he's afraid of losing reelection. So, let's quash his fears. This back-to-school time is supposed to be a fun and exciting time for families across the country.
