Jason -- did you see the news? The DNC and Arizona Democrats announced that we are prepared to sue state officials over a new law that would allow a Republican-appointed entity to review state voter rolls:
Arizona Republicans snuck a provision into a budget bill so that they could appoint a private party to disqualify voters without even letting them know. And, since Arizona does not have same-day voter registration, voters could very well learn on Election Day that they've been purged from the rolls with no recourse.
This is just one example of the 400 anti-voter bills that have been introduced in state legislatures across the country this year. The DNC is working day and night to educate and protect voters in the face of these bills. But, I would be lying if I said that work was cheap. So, I have to ask:
Will you make a $7 donation to the DNC's Voter Protection Fund today? Whatever you're able to give will make a big difference in our fight to defend our democracy and elect Democrats nationwide.
This Arizona provision is not just bad, Jason. It violates federal voting law and Arizonans' constitutional rights, and we're not just going to sit by and let it happen. We're putting Republicans on notice: If they infringe on the right to vote, we will fight back.
Send a strong message to Republicans that we're ready to defend our democracy against their vicious attacks and elect Democrats prepared to do the same by making a $7 donation to the DNC's Voter Protection Fund now.
Thanks for being on this team, Jason. It means the world.
