Jason, I have good news and bad news.
The bad news: The GOP didn't just outraise us in June -- they have a huge amount of cash on hand that could give them an edge in their effort to take back power in next year's midterm elections.
The good news: Our party has big plans to make sure we can keep our majorities and build on them. I know that with the help of this grassroots team, we can keep up our momentum and elect even more Democrats next year.
But to scale up our important efforts ahead of the midterms and compete with the GOP's money machine, we need to pick up the pace on our fundraising. So, I'm asking:
Will you rush a $7 donation to the DNC today to make sure Democrats don't fall short in next year's midterms?
Republicans aren't waiting until next year to get ready for the midterms, and neither can we. Here at the DNC, we're making historic investments in state parties and the grassroots, running a critically needed voter protection program, and hiring organizers on the ground across the country -- all thanks in no small part to supporters like you who stepped up and pitched in what they could.
Now, I've always said that we don't have to match Republicans dollar-for-dollar to win. But to stay competitive, we'll need to stay focused on the task at hand. And we need your support to do that, Jason.
Can you step up today and make a $7 contribution to the DNC? A dollar given right now will go so much further than the same gift could a few months before Election Day.
Thanks for being a part of this team,
Sam

P.S. The GOP outraised us in June -- and they're not showing any signs of slowing down now. We can't take our foot off the gas. So please, make a $7 donation to help Democrats up and down the ballot remain competitive in 2021 and 2022.
