Hi there, Jason -- my name is Kristen, and I'm the Communications Director at the DNC. Part of my job is to figure out how to communicate Democrats' message and how we hold Republicans accountable. Because, as I'm sure you know, holding onto and expanding our congressional majorities this year depends on ensuring folks know that Democrats are building a better America and that Republicans want to raise taxes and take away health care.
At the DNC, we're already invested in supporting the communications effort of folks on the ground all across the country -- equipping them with regular and robust messaging briefings, toolkits, and training. This will help lift up Democrats and hold Republicans accountable.
Not only that, we're playing an important role to ensure staff at DNC HQ, on the ground in states, and even our thousands of volunteers have the resources they need to spread the word about the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and more. That way, they can inform their friends, family, and fellow voters about what we've accomplished together ahead of November 8. (And remind them Democrats did that!)
We've put up digital ads and billboards advertised on radio, print, and TV hosted events with state and local leaders and even launched a bus tour to spread our message far and wide.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg. If we want to hold onto our majorities this fall, we have to do two things: 1) We must continue to get Democrats' message to as many voters as possible, and 2) we must keep holding the GOP accountable for wanting to raise taxes on half of Americans, for wanting to take away health care as well as for their voter suppression efforts. This work requires the backing of grassroots supporters like you.
So, will you take a minute and pitch in $7, or any amount that's meaningful to you, to the DNC? You'll help get our message out across the nation so millions of voters can hear about all the great work Democrats are doing.
Onward and upward,
KO
