We're deepening our focus on coalition work to ensure we don't leave anything on the table as we fight to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

Here at the DNC, we know that protecting and expanding our majorities this November will take rebuilding the coalition of voters that was key to taking back the White House and flipping the Senate last cycle -- especially voters of color and younger voters. That's why last summer, we announced the creation of the Coalitions and Community Engagement Department to prioritize reaching out to the grassroots. That means: Meeting folks where they're at: The voters we need to reach out to aren't a monolith, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach to reaching them, so we've hired a talented team of staff who have each brought deep experience and dedication to mobilizing their own communities. Listening to their needs and ideas: Our incredible coalition includes Black, AAPI, Latino, Native, Women's, LGBTQ+, Youth, Disability, Labor, Progressive, Ethnic, Rural, Veterans, and so many other communities. Each brings their own perspective and lived experiences to the table. Creating relationships to foster a strong and diverse coalition of Democrats: By partnering with organizers in various communities, we're able to reach voters of color and the other diverse identities that make up our party, while identifying and developing future leaders and diverse political candidates for the Democratic ticket. But, Jason, we can't afford to slow down. Rather than serving the people they were elected to represent, Republican lawmakers have fought Democrats on every front. Republicans have already enacted restrictive voting laws in key states -- all to prevent communities of color, young folks, people with disabilities, and anyone who stands in their way from having their vote counted. We cannot allow the GOP to take back Congress this fall.
