Thanks to President Biden and Democratic leadership: 💼 6 million jobs have been added to the economy 📉 Unemployment levels have dropped to 3.8% ❤️ Health care premiums for returning customers on ACA marketplace plans have declined by 50% on average 📚 99% of schools are open, and children are back to in-person learning safely President Biden is rebuilding this nation from the bottom up and the middle out -- and the American Rescue Plan was just the start. Read on for more updates about the Biden-Harris administration's accomplishments and how to get involved with our party → Latest Legislation -- The Bipartisan Government Funding Bill President Biden recently signed a $1.5 trillion bill that will fund the government through September and provide assistance to the people of Ukraine as they defend their country and their democracy. Key investments from this legislation include: $13.6 billion in aid for Ukraine, $17.5 billion for education, $1 billion to help launch the President's Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health, $3.2 billion for clean energy projects and manufacturing, and more. This bill will lower costs for American families and businesses, support our economic recovery, advance equity, and continue restoring U.S. leadership abroad. President Biden at the DNC meeting Last Thursday, President Biden spoke at the 2022 DNC winter meeting and discussed the historic progress Democrats have made in the last year -- including passing the American Rescue Plan and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, with 4,000 projects across the nation already announced. President Biden touched on the challenges he plans to face head on, including addressing the opioid crisis, prioritizing mental health care, better supporting our veterans, and much more -- to overcome these challenges we must be united. Click below to watch his remarks → WATCH NOW The Biden-Harris Administration's National COVID Preparedness Plan The Biden-Harris administration recently released a National COVID Preparedness Plan to help keep America moving forward safely. The plan centers around four key goals: Protecting against COVID-19 with vaccines, treatments, and tests. Preparing for new variants by monitoring hotspots and variants of concern and streamlining processes for vaccine production, authorization, and delivery. Preventing economic and educational shutdowns with tools such as paid leave for those who have COVID-19 and ventilation and air filtration recommendations. Continuing to lead the effort to vaccinate the world and save lives, which we have already done by sending over 475 million vaccine doses to 112 countries. This plan will build upon our progress so far and get Americans back to our usual routines.
