Jason, in just a few months, it will be Election Day. While the DNC is working day and night to ensure Democrats' success continues, your support is central to help President Biden continue delivering for the American people. So, I wanted to make sure you knew about the critical work the DNC is doing to set Democrats up for success in this year's midterm elections.
Keep reading to learn what the DNC is doing right now to ensure Democrats have the necessary resources to compete and win in every state -- and if you're able to, donate $7 to help protect and expand our slim congressional majorities.
Organizing across the country
The DNC is committed to uplifting grassroots voices and driving on-the-ground organizing tactics from the ground up -- we're doing that by:
- Expanding organizing capacity where we maintained and grew our distributed volunteer community, which includes 200,000+ supporters across the country trained in talking to voters via phone calls, text messages, and relational outreach.
- Investing in local talent and state parties by building on the diverse, local talent pipelines we started last cycle to execute our 57-state-and-territory strategy. Folks on the ground know their communities best, and the DNC is taking their lead.
- Leveraging every single volunteer who wants to power our work to contact, educate, and turn out hundreds of thousands of voters, ensuring that Democrats get the support they need to compete and win in 2022 and beyond.
Protecting voting rights
The DNC is dedicated to fighting Republican-led voter suppression efforts and their coordinated assault on voting rights by:
- Running a continuous voter protection and education effort that increases voter protection staff on the ground, helps folks find their polling place, runs a national voter protection hotline, actively monitors and tracks incidents, and more.
- Expanding voter and multi-lingual outreach with robust voter education and coordinated event activities for voters of color across states, including multi-lingual outreach to mobilize growing Spanish-speaking and AAPI populations.
- Working with every state to build out voter protection programming through customized scalable plans in states without voter protection staff that meet the specific needs of their state, allowing us to be an active participant in state voting rights battles.
Investing in the 2022 midterms
The DNC has made considerable investments in the upcoming midterms, such as:
- Making a historic agreement with state parties, including $23 million in direct investments to state parties and grassroots infrastructure during the 2022 election cycle.
- Creating technology that's built to last. Last year, the DNC invested $20 million in the data, infrastructure, and tools needed for effective, secure, and efficient voter and volunteer outreach no matter what office a candidate is running for.
- Dedicating $2 Million to the Red State Fund, allowing the DNC to invest in Democratic state parties' efforts to sustain long-term programs in traditionally Republican states.
The strategies and programs we've laid out above are key to supporting state parties, building on our infrastructure, and registering and turning out every Democratic voter. But I cannot stress enough how crucial your support is, Jason. We cannot do this without you.
Donate $7 to fight for our democracy and ensure we have the resources to set Democrats up for success in all 50 states, the territories, and D.C. this year and in years to come.
Thank you,
Alana
