Jason, today marks the 12th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) -- a landmark achievement made possible by the vision and determination of one of the most successful presidents in American history and my friend: President Barack Obama.
Since I took office, we've built on the success of the Affordable Care Act. Millions more Americans have gained health coverage through the ACA and, thanks to the American Rescue Plan, we've made quality insurance more affordable than ever.
But as long as there are Americans who lie awake at night, wondering how they're going to make it if an accident or illness hits home, we have more work to do together. So today, I am calling on this grassroots team to support our party as it fights to lower health care costs.
Donate $7 to the Democratic National Committee today. Health care is a right, not a privilege -- and with your help, we can elect Democrats nationwide who will build upon the ACA's legacy for years to come.
For President Obama and me, this historic piece of legislation is personal. Because we know that every American deserves the peace of mind that comes with affordable, quality health care. I know that Democrats like you made the Affordable Care Act possible -- and will continue to fight to lower costs for families in the coming years. I can't thank you enough.
Thank you and God bless you,
Joe
Joseph R. Biden Jr.
President of the United States
