In 2008, I squared off against Governor Sarah Palin, and then in 2012, against Congressman Paul Ryan. In fact, it was in that 2012 debate when I popularized the phrase, “that’s a bunch of malarkey.” Now, a lot has changed since those debates took place, but one thing remains the same: the American people want to see a running mate who they can trust to get the job done as Vice President in Washington. Jason, I know that Senator Harris has what it takes to take on hard fights and deliver real results for working families all across this nation. I know that for a fact. But, what I’m not sure of is whether we’re going to meet our 300,000 donation goal before the debate begins, and it’s critically important that we do.
