There are elections throughout New York, up and down the ballot, that will decide whether Democrats take back the House and elect leaders who will fight for working people throughout our state.
That’s why last week Alexandria decided to direct $300,000 from her campaign to the New York State coordinated campaign.
The funds have been earmarked for voter organizing efforts with half going to Spanish-language outreach. This campaign is all about investing in community organizing and building coalitions in communities that are too often overlooked or taken for granted because how we win matters.
Alexandria didn't make this decision lightly. Grassroots supporters like you have given us every dollar our campaign has and we value the trust you’ve placed with this campaign. Here are some of the things supporters have shared with us:
“I trust AOC to fight hard for good policy and I like that the fundraising feels honest, direct, non-alarmist or gimmicky.”
“I want to make sure her voice is heard and she is able to continue to support like-minded candidates across the country.”
“My solution was to give as much money as I could to AOC and let her decide if she didn’t absolutely need it, she could funnel it to someone who needs it more.”
Alexandria is mobilizing resources to win the midterms and take back the majority so we can make progress on issues like Medicare for All, universal childcare, a living wage, and so much more.
Alexandria will be heading to Buffalo, Syracuse, and Ithaca in the coming days to build coalitions that will elect Democrats up and down the ballot who will fight alongside her for the better future we all deserve.
And New York is just the start. Our goal is to travel to more places before Election Day to support candidates such as Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan and Angie Nixon in Florida to deliver a majority in the House and the Senate in November.
