Jason, t​his is a long email, but I hope you will take the time to read it. I truly believe our most important days still lie ahead, and I want you to know why:

One year ago today, I stood on the steps of the Capitol to speak directly to the country for the first time as president. I told you we were looking ahead in our uniquely American way -- restless, bold, and optimistic. Throughout the past year of challenge, I have seen so many of you take this to heart to usher in enormous progress. Together, we passed the historic American Rescue Plan that's helped us go from 2 million Americans fully vaccinated to nearly 210 million. More than 95% of our schools are open. We've seen record low unemployment and record high job creation -- with 6.4 million jobs created in 2021, the most in any calendar year on record. And experts estimate we've seen the largest drop in child poverty in U.S. history in a single year. Together, we passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that will create better jobs for Americans and deliver clean water and high-speed internet for every American, and modernize our roads, bridges, ports, and airports. We've gotten a lot done in this past year, but our best days still lie ahead. We know folks are still feeling frustrated and fatigued. So we've got work to do to keep getting COVID-19 further under control. We'll keep creating jobs, but we've got work to do to bring prices down -- including by passing my Build Back Better plan. We've got work to do to protect the sacred right to vote and our democracy itself -- and so much more. We just have to go out there and keep making the case about who we are as Democrats and what we stand for and what we will do to help folks in their everyday lives. And so, Jason, we're going to need you -- to organize, talk to folks, and build up the DNC and our party so we can re-elect and elect more Democrats up and down the ticket.
