We also got people back to work -- more jobs were created in 2021 than in any calendar year on record. And we passed laws to create jobs and rebuild our nation's crumbling infrastructure. The American Rescue Plan led to what experts estimate will be the lowest child poverty rate on record, and the unemployment rate is down to 3.9%. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is set to create good-paying jobs; remove lead pipes; upgrade our roads, airports, and rail; and be a critical step towards a clean energy future.
