One year ago today, Joe and I took the oath of office. Together -- alongside this team -- we turned a page and started the next chapter of American history.
In many ways, that moment embodied our character as a nation. It demonstrated who we are. Even in dark times, we not only dream, we do. We not only see what has been, we see what can be.
The same determination is being realized in America today. I see it in the scientists who are transforming the future. I see it in the parents who are nurturing generations to come. I see it in the innovators and educators, in everyone, everywhere, who is building a better life for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Together, we've gotten shots in arms and saved lives with the American Rescue Plan. Together, we've gotten people back to work, growing the economy and adding more jobs in one year than any other calendar year on record. And together, we passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to create good-paying jobs, remove lead pipes, and strengthen our roads, airports, and rail.
We've come a long way over the past year, but our work is far from over, Jason. I know that with the full weight of this grassroots team, we can elect more Democrats and continue making progress for workers and families across the country.
The Democratic National Committee is the only party organization tasked with winning seats from the school board to the Senate -- and with the critical midterm elections coming up this year, there couldn't be a more important time to invest and help lay the groundwork for victory.
If you're able to, please make a $7 donation to the DNC today. Every cent of your contribution will be put straight to work to help protect and expand our majorities in 2022 and beyond.
Thank you for being a part of this team, Jason. It means so much.
Kamala
