I need you to see this headline, Jason:
Republican lawmakers are carrying out a coordinated assault on voting rights because they'd rather make it harder to vote than have more popular policies. Last year alone, 34 laws were passed in 19 states with provisions making it harder to vote. That's the most in at least a decade!
Republicans aren't showing any signs of slowing down their attacks on the right to vote, and that means we can't afford to take our foot off the gas either. The DNC is making historic investments to fight back against the GOP's efforts nationwide. These investments will be critical to defending our democracy and protecting access to the ballot box in the upcoming midterms, so I hope you'll pitch in what you can today.
Will you make a $7 donation to the DNC's Voter Protection Fund now? Anything you're able to give will help protect the right to vote and elect Democrats across the country.
Here's some good news: We've seen this page in the Republican playbook before, and we know exactly what we have to do to fight back. Take a look at the critical programs the DNC is already investing in ahead of November 8, 2022:
-
A nonstop voter protection and education effort: Democrats are ramping up the number of voter protection staff we have on the ground, helping folks find their polling place, running a national voter protection hotline, actively monitoring and tracking incidents on the ground, and more.
-
Expanded voter and multi-lingual outreach: The DNC is expanding robust voter education and coordinated events for voters of color across states, including multi-lingual outreach to mobilize growing Spanish-speaking and AAPI populations.
-
Distributed organizing capacity: The DNC mobilized thousands of the national volunteers who took part in the 2020 election to also support the New Jersey and Virginia coordinated campaigns through volunteer recruitment, voter education, and early get out the vote efforts.
Every penny raised for the Voter Protection Fund will go toward voter education, registration, and technology to protect the right to vote and elect Democrats nationwide.
So, will you rush a $7 contribution to the DNC's Voter Protection Fund today? Whatever you can afford to give will help ensure every eligible American's vote is counted -- no matter what attacks Republicans launch.
Thanks for being a part of this,
