Jason, over the past year, Republicans have gone to incredible lengths to undermine our right to vote, our elections, and, ultimately, our democracy. Rather than seeking the truth following January 6, Republican lawmakers have concerned themselves with whitewashing the insurrection at the Capitol and spreading Trump's Big Lie in a desperate attempt to cling to power. To put it simply: Republicans know that they cannot win back power on their policymaking alone, so they're trying to win by spreading lies about the 2020 election. And we must hold them accountable at the ballot box. Republicans launched a coordinated assault on voting rights on the ground in states. Last year alone, 34 laws were passed in 19 states with provisions making it harder to vote -- with Republican state legislators leading the charge. As Democrats, we know that our democracy only works when everyone's voices are heard.
